Once we receive your intake screening form, our admin team will reach out to schedule your intake when a therapist’s availability and expertise aligns with your needs.

In your intake (first session), your therapist will start by going over background information, expectations, and confidentiality. You might be asked to share more about yourself, what you have been experiencing, and your goals for therapy. The second and third sessions are typically focused on building a strong relationship by getting to know you, your strengths, and areas you’d like to see growth.

Per state laws, you must be physically located in the state where your therapist is licensed. If you are traveling out of state, please let your therapist know so we can reschedule your appointment. If you come in person, these rules do not apply.

We LOVE our office and hope you do too! We have a boutique one office suite in the heart of Adams Morgan just off 18th Street NW. Our address is 1807 Belmont Rd NW and we have a secure front door with a code that only our clients have.

Our waiting room is stocked with coffee and snacks for clients, a private restroom, and lovely bay windows. While we are located on the first floor of the building, unfortunately we do have 4 steps from the lobby to our door so it is not a fully ADA accessible building.

No, we are out of network with all insurances but upon request, we can provide you with a superbill. Superbills can be submitted to your insurance in order for you to access any out of network benefits you have with your insurance plan.

For clients who are worried about the reimbursement process or their out of network benefits, we strongly recommend that use a company called Thrizer. While we are not affiliated with Thrizer, they manage the entire process of obtaining reimbursement on your behalf for a rate of 5% of our session rate. (E.g. if you pay the market rate of $195, you will pay $9.75 per claim/superbill)
